The print

Our food printers are highly specialised machines designed for printing on food. Using this patented printing technology, designs, photos and logos are printed with food-grade inks onto high-quality almond paste and fondant. Our cakes are then covered with the resulting printed toppers. What makes this printing technology special is that it can print the image onto almond paste and fondant with exceptional quality and sharpness. Another unique feature is that the food printers can print in very large sizes, meaning toppers over 1 metre in length are easily achievable.

Food colouring

The colour pigments have been specially selected to ensure an optimal printing solution and colour reproduction without compromising on taste or food safety standards. The deineTorte.de colours comply with the strict EU regulations for food colouring. Naturally, our colours are safe to eat.

Photos

Please send us your image as a JPG, GIF or PNG file. Where possible, always upload your image in the highest resolution. The best results are achieved with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Although we can enlarge small images, this will reduce the print quality.

Please note the proportions of the photo or image; for photo cakes, it is best to upload rectangular photos.

Inscriptions

For our themed cakes and cake toppers, the menu option ‘Cake inscription’ / ‘Topper inscription’ offers a free option to add a personal message to the design. To ensure the best possible visual result, there is a maximum limit of 35 characters per cake/topper. You can design the text message on our photo cakes yourself using the image editor.

Important: we cannot accept responsibility for the legibility of text messages that have not been added via the input options mentioned above. If you send us a photo with text already inserted, we will not be able to make any further graphical changes to it.

Photo Editor

With our user-friendly photo editor, you have complete freedom to design your photo! Whatever you need – cropping, rotating, centring, resizing or adding text – it’s all possible. And best of all: you can see your finished photo cake straight away!
